ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) Center fielder Jacoby Ellsbury is back in the starting lineup for the banged up New York Yankees.

Ellsbury is second in Wednesday night's batting order against Tampa Bay. Ellsbury missed two games with a bruised right knee, the result of sliding into the wall while attempting to make a catch Saturday at Boston.

Third baseman Chase Headley was out of the lineup for the third straight game due to back spasms but hopes to play Thursday night.

Second baseman Starlin Castro remains out with a strained right hamstring.
