The Texas Rangers are investigating an incident in which eight prospects were being questioned by police in the Dominican Republic after a Snapchat video surfaced of players allegedly sexually assaulting an underage teammate in a hazing incident, according to Yahoo! Sports' Jeff Passan.

No charges have been pressed yet. At least four players reportedly held down the teammate and masturbated him.

The brother of Rangers second baseman Rougned Odor, also named Rougned, is expected to be charged. Yohel Pozo, one of the franchise's top prospects, could also face charges. Both players are 19 years old and have been told not to leave the country.

According to Passan, the incident took place at the end of October. A 10-second video, in which the alleged victim is laying on a bed with his arms held back and his legs pinned down as four men grabbed and assaulted him, was recorded and published to Snapchat. All the men in the video, including the alleged victim, are laughing.

Biggest hot stove question for each AL team

The players were questioned at the beginning of this month after the Rangers informed Dominican authorities of the incident. Major League Baseball has also launched its own investigation.

The Rangers issued the following statement to Yahoo! Sports.

“The Texas Rangers became aware of an incident at our Academy in the Dominican Republic and we acted promptly to open an investigation. We have reported the incident and are cooperating fully with Major League Baseball and the authorities in the Dominican Republic. With this being an ongoing investigation, we will have no further comment at this time.”
