Like any viral moment that has hit social media, everybody has been giving their two cents when it comes to the Anthony Rendon-fan situation. People are looking to the Los Angeles Angels to discipline their infielder and ensure that he to miss games and pay due to his actions.

For those who need a reminder, he is currently under investigation for physically confronting a fan whom he felt was being disrespectful.

The general consensus around the internet is that Rendon should have better controlled his anger, no matter what was said to him, because of the professional setting he was in and the role model figure he plays as an athlete. However, former pitcher Dallas Braden took into account both sides of the story when forging his own opinion.

"Not a great look for Rendon but fans should know… Don’t think you’re gonna speak to someone in real life like you would from the comfort of your keyboard & not get ran up on. Rendon has that fine $ in his couch cushion. He clearly ain’t worried about it."

Braden actually suited for all five seasons of his professional career for the Oakland Athletics, the squad that the fan involved was rooting for, and got to know the type of fanbase that surrounded the organization very well.

He is basically explaining that certain people get too comfortable speaking in a certain tone online and believe they can carry it over into the real world. Even though what Rendon did was very wrong, he was trying to teach that fan a lesson.

The investigation by the MLB is still currently going on and Rendon has yet to comment on the matter. No exact details have been confirmed but we'll be sure to update you as we know more.
