The youth movement has been very strong as of late for the Los Angeles Angels. Even though we all miss Logan O'Hoppe and the fiery spirit he brought from the catcher position, LA has had a number of other rookies and recent call-ups that have been making noises and playing key roles within the squad.

However, a key trend within some of them has been that they haven't spent even one minute in AAA and the Halos' front office has still believed that they are ready to be added to the big league roster. Zach Neto was the most prominent example of this as he logged just 44 games in A and AA before joining the Angels' roster.

And now Sam Bachman, the former number nine overall draft pick for LA in 2021, has been brought up as well to help fill out the bullpen and he too does not have a AAA game under his belt in his short career.

Even though Bachman hasn't necessarily been elite during his time in AA this season with a 5.81 ERA, he will be placed in a reliever role with LA and the hope is that he'll ease into his talent in this new environment.

Chase Silseth, another top pitching prospect with no AAA experience, was also recently called up and struggled as a starter. He has since been moved to the bullpen as well and seems to fit in much better there.

Definitely when it comes to pitching, it seems like the Halos' coaching staff is realizing that if they want to call these prospects up early, the bullpen is the best place to put them for here. O'Hoppe and Neto play two different positions so their success has been a different story.

We are super excited to potentially see Bachman hit the field this weekend against the Marlins!
