In this story:

Houston Astros right fielder Kyle Tucker hit a blooper right up the middle of the infield that scored St. Louis Cardinals third baseman Nolan Arenado from third.

That RBI-single gave Team USA a 2-1 lead, their first of the evening against Great Britain,

The USA is heavily favored but was held scoreless through the first two innings before finally coming alive during the third inning.

The first run to tie it up came off of an RBI-double from Arenado who scored his Cardinals teammate Paul Goldschmidt. Then Tucker gave his country the lead with a nicely hit line drive.

Perhaps the third inning surge of hits and subsequent runs is exactly what Team USA needs to get going.
