Houston Astros Announce Roster Casualty for Altuve's Return

In this story:
The Houston Astros will welcome back second baseman Jose Altuve on Friday night when they host the Oakland Athletics at Minute Maid Park.
It is exactly two months to the day that Altuve suffered a fractured thumb in the World Baseball Classic for Venezuela. Now, he will be making his 2023 MLB debut.
In his absence, Mauricio Dubon has slashed .309/.333/.389 and led the team in hits. He was more than serviceable in Altuve's stead.
Now, the Astros have announced who will be optioned to make way for Altuve's return to the active roster.
David Hensley, who many pegged as the man to take over for Altuve, will be optioned to Triple-A.
Hensley was unable to take full advantage of the opportunity laid out for him this season. Now he will have to bide his time until his next chance arrives.
Altuve will bat leadoff against the Athletics, first pitch is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. ET.
