In this weekend's edition of 'In Case You Missed It,' we will once again look back at the week the was along with the week ahead for the Houston Astros.

The Astros started the week with a 10-10 record entering last Saturday's showdown with the Braves, and after sweeping Atlanta they flew to Tampa Bay with a 12-10 mark.

Houston exploded for four runs in the sixth inning to get things rolling last Saturday en route to a 6-3 victory with Framber Valdez on the mound for the Astros.

After falling behind early on Sunday, April 23, the Astros used a two-run eighth inning and three-run ninth inning to secure a 5-2 road win over Atlanta prior to the plane ride to Florida.

The Astros followed that campaign with a 2-1 series victory over the Rays -- arguably the best team in the Majors this season.

Houston dropped the series opener in Tampa Bay, 8-3, prior to recording back-to-back shutout wins: 5-0 on Tuesday, April 25, and 1-0 on Wednesday, April 26.

Astros right-hander Hunter Brown was once again dominant in a remarkable outing -- tossing seven scoreless innings before handing the ball off to what has once again become a very reliable bullpen.

Brown is now 3-0 on the year with a 2.37 ERA (30.1 innings pitched), 32 strikeouts and a 1.05 WHIP.

Following an off day on Thursday, Houston returned to Minute Maid Park on Friday, April 28, in a World Series rematch against the Philadelphia Phillies.

The Phillies took game one on Friday night, 3-1, as Houston's offense was unable to do anything productive against Philadelphia starter Aaron Nola.

Despite another solid start, Valdez took the loss and is now 2-3 on the season with a 2.54 ERA (39.0 innings pitched), 37 strikeouts and a 1.15 WHIP.

Houston (14-12) returns to the diamond for the second game of a three-game series with Philadelphia (14-13) on Saturday, April 29 at 4:10 p.m. CT.

Yordan Alvarez is slated to rejoin Houston's lineup after missing the last four games with neck soreness, with righty Christian Javier (2-0, 3.21 ERA) on the hill for Houston as Philadelphia counters with right-hander Zack Wheeler (2-1, 4.73 ERA).

Looking ahead, Houston concludes its series with Philadelphia on Sunday, April 30, prior to hosting San Francisco for a three-game series starting on Monday, May 1.

The team embarks on another road trip starting Friday, May 5, as the Astros battle the Seattle Mariners in a three-game series.

The Astros are currently in second place in the AL West, sitting one game behind the Lone State rival Texas Rangers (15-11).
