Houston Astros Inexplicably Snubbed in ESPY Awards

The Houston Astros are constantly disrespected, whether that be in regards to the suddenly-newsworthy 2017 scandal or some sort of preordained ideology a fan has towards the team.

And that disrespect remains until this very day, literally five-plus years after a trash-can tapping, pitch-calling condemnation almost destroyed a terrific team, amazing manager and solid city built on the foundations of love and perseverance.

Why the continued disrespect?

It's honestly mind-blowing, but with the day and age -- and world -- we live in today, nothing is really that shocking, especially when it comes to sports.

From commissioner Rob Manfred's nonsense to fans' relentless battering of this team, the word disrespect is honestly an understatement.

However, with ESPN recently snubbing the 2022 Houston Astros in the 'best team' category in the upcoming ESPY Awards nominations, one enormous question still remains: WHY THE CONTINUED SCORN?

Astros skipper Dusty Baker should honestly use this as a fire-starter for a postseason run for the ages.

And one for ESPN and doubters around the globe to remember forever: the 2023 Houston Astros race to a second consecutive World Series Championship.

It is way too early to be talking about a hunt for October?

Absolutely, yes -- especially with Houston sitting six games out of first-place in the American League West.

But it's never too early to discuss a reason for the Astros to make a big run this season -- and hopefully into postseason play.
