Houston Astros Injury Update: Mauricio Dubon Out Against Los Angeles Angels Due to Injury

In this story:
The injuries just keep on piling up for the Houston Astros.
Astros second baseman Mauricio Dubon was the latest to sustain a setback after leaving the game against the Los Angeles Angels on Tuesday, May 9 in Anaheim.
According to multiple reports, including the Houston Chronicle and The Atlantic, Dubon was lifted from Tuesday's game after experiencing left hamstring discomfort.
At this time, Dubon is considered day-to-day and he is out of the lineup on Wednesday, May 10.
David Hensley entered the game as a pinch-runner for Dubon, who injured himself while running to first base on a single in the top of the fifth.
Dubon was 1-for-3 prior to exiting the game, with Hensley going 1-for-1 in his lone at-bat after taking over at second base.
The 28-year-old Dubon is slashing .287/.306/.357 overall this season, but has been in a slump over the last week.
Over the past seven games, Dubon is slashing a dismal .179/.179/.179 through 28 at-bats. Manager Dusty Baker is still searching for an offensive spark at second while awaiting the return of Jose Altuve.
Altuve, who is currently ahead of his recovery schedule, could begin a rehab assignment as soon as next week.
That's good news for Baker and the Astros, as Altuve's return couldn't come at a better time.
Houston's All-Star second baseman is still at least a couple of weeks away from returning, but at least there's a bit of hope on the horizon.
Stay tuned to Inside the Astros for the latest injury news on Dubon and others as Houston aims to battle back from both a lackluster offense and an injury-plagued pitching staff.
