Houston Astros left fielder Michael Brantley is continuing to rehab in Florida after flying to West Palm Beach on April 2, and the team is hopeful to have him back in the lineup by the end of April.

Meanwhile, pitcher Lance McCullers Jr., is also aiming to be back with the team in the very near future.

McCullers has been working his way back into starting form after going down with an elbow injury in a bullpen session on Feb. 14.

The Astros are hoping to have McCullers back in the starting rotation by mid-May.

In addition, second baseman Jose Altuve is expecting to be back with the team in June after undergoing surgery on a fractured right thumb on March 22.

Altuve was injured while playing in the World Baseball Classic after getting hit by a pitch on March 18.

Another key injury to note is to southpaw pitcher Blake Taylor, who is rehabbing with the Sugar Land Space Cowboys to begin the season.

If Taylor can bounce back to form in Sugar Land, a healthy lefty in the pen could be a huge boost for Houston.

Regardless, Houston's slow start to the season should get a couple much-needed upgrades here in the coming months as the Astros aim to bounce back starting this weekend in Minnesota.

Inclement weather postponed Thursday's start to the series, with game one of the three-game set slated for 3:10 p.m. CT on Friday, April 7.
