Houston Astros Prospects Round Up: April 30

As the week -- and month -- rolls to a close, it's time to once again take a closer look at how the Houston Astros' top-30 prospects are fairing in the Astros farm system.
We'll begin with the prospects in Triple-A, and we'll take an in-depth look at the players from Sugar Land all the way down to the Single-A team in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
Triple-A (Sugar Land Space Cowboys)
The Space Cowboys own a 8-17 record in 2023 and play at Reno (14-11) on Sunday, April 30.
C Korey Lee (No. 5 prospect): slashing .258/.313/.326 this season with three doubles, one home run, 12 RBI and one stolen base.
OF/2B Pedro Leon (No. 6 prospect): slashing .241/.330/.392 this season with four doubles, one triple, two home runs, nine RBI and three stolen bases.
OF Justin Dirden (No. 7 prospect): slashing .198/.284/.295 this season with three doubles, one triple, one home run, four RBI and one stolen base.
RHP Misael Tamarez (No. 11 prospect): 0-0 record this season with a 4.26 ERA (12.2 innings pitched), eight strikeouts, 18 walks and a 1.97 WHIP.
3B/OF Joe Perez (No. 14 prospect): slashing .205/.275/.349 this season with six doubles, two home runs, 12 RBI and one stolen base.
RHP Forrest Whitley (No. 19 prospect): 1-2 record this season with a 6.00 ERA (21.0 innings pitched), 22 strikeouts, 10 walks and a 1.19 WHIP.
RHP Shawn Dubin (No. 23 prospect): 0-0 record this season with a 4.32 ERA (16.2 innings pitched), 17 strikeouts, eight walks and a 1.20 WHIP.
Double-A (Corpus Christi Hooks)
The Hooks own a 7-12 record in 2023 and play at Midland (10-10) on Sunday, April 30.
OF Colin Barber (No. 3 prospect): slashing .283/.431/.457 this season with five doubles, one home run and eight RBI.
LHP Colton Gordon (No. 8 prospect): 1-2 record this season with a 6.75 ERA (17.1 innings pitched), 23 strikeouts, eight walks and a 1.62 WHIP.
RHP Spencer Arrighetti (No. 9 prospect): 1-2 record this season with a 11.05 ERA (14.2 innings pitched), 13 strikeouts, seven walks and a 1.98 WHIP.
INF Will Wagner (No. 12 prospect): slashing .375/.444/.708 this season with two doubles, two home runs and six RBI.
RHP Jaime Melendez (No. 13 prospect): 2-0 record this season with a 5.59 ERA (9.2 innings pitched), eight strikeouts, seven walks and a 1.55 WHIP.
OF/1B/2B Joey Loperfido (No. 16 prospect): slashing .438/.537/.875 this season with two doubles, four home runs, 14 RBI and three stolen bases (through eight games since being called up from High-A).
OF Kenedy Corona (No. 18 prospect): slashing .277/.314/.617 this season with two doubles, one triple, four home runs, nine RBI and two stolen bases (through 10 games since being called up from High-A).
OF Quincy Hamilton (No. 22 prospect): slashing .279/.387/.410 this season with eight doubles, nine RBI and three stolen bases.
OF Zach Daniels (No. 30 prospect): slashing .385/.385/.538 this season with two doubles, one RBI and one stolen base.
High-A (Asheville Tourists)
The Tourists own a 7-10 record in 2023 and play a double-header at Bowling Green (8-9) on Sunday, April 30.
OF Drew Gilbert (No. 1 prospect): slashing .345/.406/.621 this season with five doubles, one triple, three home runs, eight RBI and three stolen bases.
OF Jacob Melton (No. 2 prospect): slashing .171/.370/.286 this season with one double, one home run, two RBI and three stolen bases.
RHP Miguel Ullola (No. 10 prospect): 0-1 record this season with a 7.24 ERA (13.2 innings pitched), 15 strikeouts, 13 walks and a 1.90 WHIP.
OF Logan Cerny (No. 20 prospect): slashing .169/.269/.356 this season with two doubles, three home runs, eight RBI and five stolen bases.
RHP Edinson Batista (No. 24 prospect): 0-2 record this season with a 4.97 ERA (12.2 innings pitched), 14 strikeouts, five walks and a 1.42 WHIP.
C/1B Miguel Palma (No. 29 prospect): slashing .280/.356/.500 this season with five doubles, two home runs, eight RBI and two stolen bases.
Single-A (Fayetteville Woodpeckers)
The Woodpeckers own a 8-11 record in 2023 and host Down East (11-8) on Sunday, April 30.
OF Ryan Clifford (No. 4 prospect): slashing .333/.500/.500 this season with five doubles, two home runs, 12 RBI and two stolen bases.
RHP Andrew Taylor (No. 15 prospect): 1-1 record this season with a 3.09 ERA (11.2 innings pitched), 18 strikeouts, six walks and a 1.29 WHIP.
RHP Michael Knorr (No. 25 prospect): 1-0 record this season with a 3.97 ERA (11.1 innings pitched), 19 strikeouts, seven walks and a 1.32 WHIP.
RHP Jose Fleury (No. 27 prospect): 0-0 record this season with a 2.40 ERA (15.0 innings pitched), 20 strikeouts, 11 walks and a 1.07 WHIP.
All four of the Astros farm teams are playing again on Sunday, giving Houston's prospects further opportunities to develop as the season rolls on.
