Houston Astros Prospects Round Up: May 11

It's the middle of the week, meaning it's once again time to take a quick glance at how the Houston Astros top-30 prospects are faring in the farm system.
We'll begin with the prospects in Triple-A, and we'll take a closer look at the players from Sugar Land all the way down to the Single-A team in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
Triple-A (Sugar Land Space Cowboys)
The Space Cowboys own a 13-21 record in 2023 and host El Paso (16-19) on Thursday, May 11.
C Korey Lee (No. 5 prospect): slashing .310/.355/.488 this season with eight doubles, one triple, two home runs, 19 RBI and one stolen base.
OF/2B Pedro Leon (No. 6 prospect): slashing .241/.312/.420 this season with six doubles, one triple, four home runs, 15 RBI and three stolen bases.
OF Justin Dirden (No. 7 prospect): slashing .279/.350/.532 this season with seven doubles, three triples, five home runs, 20 RBI and two stolen bases.
RHP Misael Tamarez (No. 11 prospect): 0-0 record this season with a 4.26 ERA (12.2 innings pitched), eight strikeouts, 18 walks and a 1.97 WHIP.
3B/OF Joe Perez (No. 14 prospect): slashing .216/.272/.353 this season with seven doubles, three home runs, 18 RBI and one stolen base.
RHP Forrest Whitley (No. 19 prospect): 1-2 record this season with a 6.00 ERA (21.0 innings pitched), 22 strikeouts, 10 walks and a 1.19 WHIP.
RHP Shawn Dubin (No. 23 prospect): 0-1 record this season with a 6.27 ERA (18.2 innings pitched), 18 strikeouts, 12 walks and a 1.45 WHIP.
Double-A (Corpus Christi Hooks)
The Hooks own a 12-16 record in 2023 and host San Antonio (12-16) on Thursday, May 11.
OF Drew Gilbert (No. 1 prospect): slashing .167/.167/.333 this season with one double and one RBI (through two games since being called up from High-A).
OF Colin Barber (No. 3 prospect): slashing .304/.435/.507 this season with five doubles, three home runs, 15 RBI and one stolen base.
LHP Colton Gordon (No. 8 prospect): 2-3 record this season with a 5.40 ERA (28.1 innings pitched), 36 strikeouts, 12 walks and a 1.34 WHIP.
RHP Spencer Arrighetti (No. 9 prospect): 2-2 record this season with a 6.93 ERA (24.2 innings pitched), 23 strikeouts, 11 walks and a 1.54 WHIP.
INF Will Wagner (No. 12 prospect): slashing .394/.488/.697 this season with four doubles, two home runs and seven RBI.
RHP Jaime Melendez (No. 13 prospect): 2-0 record this season with a 5.59 ERA (9.2 innings pitched), eight strikeouts, seven walks and a 1.55 WHIP.
OF/1B/2B Joey Loperfido (No. 16 prospect): slashing .352/.486/.648 this season with four doubles, four home runs, 18 RBI and five stolen bases (through 15 games since being called up from High-A).
OF Kenedy Corona (No. 18 prospect): slashing .250/.284/.487 this season with four doubles, one triple, four home runs, 11 RBI and three stolen bases (through 19 games since being called up from High-A).
OF Quincy Hamilton (No. 22 prospect): slashing .271/.407/.424 this season with 10 doubles, one home run, 13 RBI and four stolen bases.
OF Zach Daniels (No. 30 prospect): slashing .385/.385/.538 this season with two doubles, one RBI and one stolen base (has only played in four games this year).
High-A (Asheville Tourists)
The Tourists own a 10-17 record in 2023 and play at Rome (13-15) on Thursday, May 11.
OF Jacob Melton (No. 2 prospect): slashing .203/.370/.391 this season with three doubles, three home runs, eight RBI and nine stolen bases.
OF Ryan Clifford (No. 4 prospect): slashing .000/.000/.000 this season (through two games since being called up from Single-A). Overall this year, he's slashing .316/.465/.429 with five doubles, two home runs, 15 RBI and three stolen bases.
RHP Miguel Ullola (No. 10 prospect): 0-1 record this season with a 7.64 ERA (17.2 innings pitched), 20 strikeouts, 16 walks and a 1.87 WHIP.
OF Logan Cerny (No. 20 prospect): slashing .173/.264/.316 this season with two doubles, four home runs, nine RBI and seven stolen bases.
RHP Edinson Batista (No. 24 prospect): 0-2 record this season with a 7.02 ERA (16.2 innings pitched), 18 strikeouts, six walks and a 1.56 WHIP.
C/1B Miguel Palma (No. 29 prospect): slashing .256/.330/.397 this season with five doubles, two home runs, nine RBI and two stolen bases.
Single-A (Fayetteville Woodpeckers)
The Woodpeckers own a 12-16 record in 2023 and host Kannapolis (15-12) on Thursday, May 11.
RHP Andrew Taylor (No. 15 prospect): 1-1 record this season with a 3.93 ERA (18.1 innings pitched), 28 strikeouts, nine walks and a 1.42 WHIP.
RHP Michael Knorr (No. 25 prospect): 2-1 record this season with a 3.92 ERA (20.2 innings pitched), 28 strikeouts, 10 walks and a 1.35 WHIP.
RHP Jose Fleury (No. 27 prospect): 0-1 record this season with a 3.48 ERA (20.2 innings pitched), 29 strikeouts, 15 walks and a 1.21 WHIP.
All four of the Astros farm teams are playing again on Thursday, giving Houston's prospects further opportunities to develop as the season rolls on.
