Fan Guide: Opening Weekend at Truist Park

A guide to common questions regarding tickets, parking, food, and bags for the Braves home-opening weekend series against the San Diego Padres

By the time the Braves play their first game of 2023 at Truist Park, they will already have completed two series on the road. Thousands of fans will journey to Truist Park this weekend to watch the Braves host the San Diego Padres in what should be a solid matchup of two National League heavyweights. Here are some helpful things to keep in mind if you’re making the trip to Truist Park this weekend.

Tickets & Parking

Tickets and parking passes are still available for all four games this weekend. Visit braves.com/tickets to purchase your tickets.

Securing a parking pass before you head to the park is definitely in your best interest. Ticketmaster is the place where the Braves sell all of their parking passes. If Ticketmaster sells out, you can check out Stubhub or Vivid Seats for parking passes sold on the secondary market. Visit braves.com/parking for specific parking information and to view a map of the parking lots.

Food & Bags

The Battery is great for grabbing food before or after a Braves home game. Be sure to give yourself time before the game because the lines can get a little long, and you will likely have to wait a few minutes for a table. Plan to bring the family with you to let the kids run around on the artificial turf and be on the lookout for Blooper passing through before the game.

If you want to eat inside Truist Park, classic ballpark foods like pizza, hot dogs, nachos, and burgers are available. There are also some new specialty items available this season. Braves Today writer, Will Moon, has a great write-up covering these new items.

You are allowed to bring food with you inside the park as long as it follows this policy: “Fans will be able to bring food inside of Truist Park as long as it fits inside a clear, gallon-sized plastic bag and may also bring a sealed plastic bottle of water. One bag of food and one bottle of water per ticket will be permitted. Additional considerations will be made for those with dietary concerns and infants. All bags of food will be subject to additional inspection at our security gates before entry.”

No other bags are allowed inside the stadium. Exceptions may be made for:

  • Medical bags no larger than what is required to transport necessary medical equipment
  • Breast pumps for nursing mothers and other bags required for guests with ADA needs
  • Diaper bags for guests accompanied by infant(s) and/or toddler(s)
  • Small, single compartment clutches no larger than 5 x 9 inches

Clubhouse Store & MLB Ballpark App

Be sure to visit one of the Braves Clubhouse stores while you are at Truist Park for all your Braves merchandise. The recently released Atlanta Braves City Connect jerseys are now available for fans to purchase and will be popular in Braves Country this summer.

The MLB Ballpark App is the place for your digital tickets, parking passes, ticket upgrades, in-game competitions, and details about the stadium. Be sure to download the app on your phone before arriving at the park for the most up-to-date info on things happening inside the stadium.
