Takeaways: Atlanta SWEEPS the New York Mets

The Atlanta Braves came back against the New York Mets for the third time in the series, completing a dramatic sweep against the NL East rival as the Braves walked it off, 13-10, in ten innings.
As Atlanta improves to 38-24, the Mets drop their sixth straight game and continue their free-fall in the NL East standings.
An Ozzie Albies three-run home run sealed the deal after an Orlando Arcia homer in the bottom of the ninth was enough to force extra innings.
Let's take a look at some of the takeaways from Thursday night's action.
Man... Atlanta is good at beating the Mets
The rivalry continues to get more and more one-sided. After seeing several fans and media members react poorly to the first two games of the series, it will be interesting to see the fallout from the completed sweep.
On the Mets broadcast, the postgame show brought up phrases that you never want to hear as a fan like "there's a lot of season left,' or "if things don't turn up, changes need to be made."
To make matters worse for the Mets, this is the first time in their history that they have lost 3 consecutive games games when they held a 3-run lead. They've been playing baseball since 1962.
The Mets head to Pittsburgh to try to avoid a seven-game losing streak.
Spencer Strider had a rough night
Strider looked to continue his incredible start to the season Thursday night and it didn't really go the way anyone thought it would. The matchup between Strider and Justin Verlander was tabbed as a pitchers' duel entering the game. After eight runs were scored in the first 1 and a half innings, we all realized that the night wasn't going to go that way.
Strider had a season-low 4.0 innings pitched. He still got his eight strikeouts but also allowed eight earned runs, eight hits, two home runs, and two walks.
Fortunately, he's not tabbed with a loss.
Orlando Arcia has been red hot
The Braves shortstop continues to be impressive after battling back from injury. In his last seven games, he's hitting .458 from the plate and is looking like one of the best shortstops in baseball defensively.
He collected a 2-out RBI tonight off of a single in the third inning to score Travis d'Arnaud from third base.
Then, the game-tying home run in the bottom of the ninth inning gave Atlanta life in the series finale.
The broadcast tonight was a breath of fresh air
Hats off to Bally. Putting Chipper Jones, Tom Glavine, John Smoltz, and Jeff Francoeur in the booth together was a treat.
Stories, jokes, guests, and overall baseball knowledge were all shared and despite the loss, it was a really fun broadcast from start to finish.
Here were a few of my favorite moments from the broadcast.
