He opened the season in Atlanta’s rotation and made four starts for the Braves, going 0-3 with a 7.20 ERA (12 ER/15.0 IP) before being optioned on August 20. • Was recalled, August 8, from the club’s alternate training site and went 2-1 with a 3.91 ERA (10 ER/23.0 IP) over his final four starts.

Was selected by Atlanta with the fifth overall pick in the 2017 First-Year Player Draft...Was the first player from that draft class to appear in the majors. • Entered 2020 ranked by MLB.com as Atlanta’s No. 4 prospect, and as the No. 51 prospect in baseball.
