The Chicago Cubs will try to stop the bleeding on Tuesday against the Cincinnati Reds after dropping their last three-straight games.

It seems like not much has gone the Cubs' way to start the 2023 MLB season. When the starting pitching has found success, the offense has gone cold. When the offense provides run support, the pitching seems to fall apart.

Perhaps on Tuesday they can put it all together when Hayden Wesneski takes the mound for Chicago in his first start of the season.

One highlight of the season has been new shortstop Dansby Swanson. He has collected three three-hit games in his first four games. In 18 at-bats this season he has collected 10 hits.

Wow.

First pitch for Tuesday is scheduled for 5:40 p.m. CT and Wesneski will face Reds starter Luis Cessa.

The game will be televised in the local Chicago market on the Marquee Sports Network. It will also be streamed live on MLB.tv for those who reside outside the market.
