Watch: Chicago Cubs Top Prospect Makes Mind-Blowing Catch

In this story:
Chicago Cubs top prospect Pete Crow-Armstrong spent his Memorial Day showing off his glove in center field during the Tennessee Smokies’ 10-1 win over the Chattanooga Lookouts.
The Smokies are the Cubs’ Double-A affiliate. This is his first season with the Smokies.
Crow-Armstrong made one of those catches that makes him one of the game’s most intriguing outfield prospects.

A Lookouts batter led off the top of the ninth with a line shot in Crow-Armstrong’s direction. The diving catch not only came on a shoestring, but it also came with a casual throw back to the infield as he got up from the ground.
That wasn’t all. The Smokies won the game and Crow-Armstrong had a big part in the offensive production, including a three-RBI double that gave them a 6-0 lead. He went 2-for-5 with three RBI and one run in the game.
