Chicago Cubs Prospect Jordan Nwogu blasts three home runs in South Bend

In this story:
It was a fruitful day for the South Bend Cubs, the Single-A affiliate for the Chicago Cubs, as they scored 13 runs and collected 15 knocks as well. While it was a great day for almost everyone, no one had a better day than Jordan Nwogu.
The Cubs 2020 third-round pick has always had explosive power, and that was on full display Thursday, as the outfielder went 4-for-5 with a walk, four RBI, five runs scored, and a jaw-dropping three home runs and 13 total bases.
Nwogu has been another outfielder that has had a productive offensive season, rocking an .836 OPS over 74 games, and this has created a very good problem for the Cubs system to have.
With so many productive outfielders, Chicago may struggle to find a role for some players like Nwogu, but if he keeps batting at the rate he has this season, he'll catch on in the majors or be a good trade piece at the teams' disposal. Either way, it's good to see a Cubs draft pick find consistent success in the minors.
