What are the Diamondbacks' Upcoming August Promotions?

In this story:

While the Arizona Diamondbacks continue to battle it out for the post-season standings and to snare a spot in a Wild Card spot, the D-backs are hosting a whole lot of promotions and giveaway days during the last two months of the regular season. It seems that as the team has improved, so have their promotions and theme nights. Be sure to make it to at least one of these August promotional nights and get some free D-Backs gear!

The team used to just have a few a year, but now, there are more in the next two months than there were over multiple seasons in the past. It's a great way to encourage more people to come out to the park and cheer on the D-backs. It's a strong marketing move to not only get fans' dollars but entice new people to come out or to develop new local fans. After all, someday, the local fans will outnumber the fans of opposing teams like the Dodgers at every game. One sure way to do that is by increasing the amount of festivities, themes, and giveaways. Give people a reason to spend their hard-earned money because unless they're a baseball diehard, the Diamondbacks' play hasn't given fans a reason to go until this year.

It looks like CEO Derrick Hall and company are doing just that. So, let's get started on the August giveaway and promotional days. There are a ton of great teams coming to visit as well, so you'll get free items and see players you rarely see play in Arizona, beyond seeing the stars like Corbin Carroll and Christian Walker.

August Giveaways/Promotions

Friday, August 11th, Suns and Mercury Night & MLB Network Cap

  • The Diamondbacks are hosting a Suns/Mercury night to celebrate the two long-standing basketball teams that are right across the street from Chase Field. Click here to purchase the special event ticket and get a combined Suns/D-backs baseball hat! Not many will ever exist with both the Suns Sun-Burst logo and the D-backs "A" on the same hat.
  • Plus, if you buy the special event ticket package and are one of the first 10,000 people to show up, you'll get a free MLB Network trucker hat with the Arizona Diamondbacks 25th Anniversary logo on the side of it. Two free hats for the price of one ticket. And you'll get to see the Snakes take on the rival Padres in a crucial game for postseason contention.

Saturday, August 12th, 25th Anniversary Celebration

  • The Diamondbacks are celebrating their 25 years of being an MLB Franchise this Saturday versus the San Diego Padres. The first 15,000 fans to show up get a one-of-a-kind throwback replica jersey with the 25th Anniversary patch on it. It's going to be a great game filled with all sorts of throwbacks, and nostalgia, and make you feel shocked at how fast 25 years of Arizona baseball has gone by. Don't miss out on the memories!

Sunday, August 13th, Yoga, Paint, and NAU

  • The D-backs are hosting a trifecta of events/days at Chase Field on Sunday in the day game against the Padres. If you purchase a special event ticket package, you'll get the chance to paint an awesome picture during the baseball game, do yoga before the game on the field, or get a co-branded D-backs/NAU beanie to showcase your NAU alumni status or fandom. Be sure to check out these events if you like painting, yoga, or NAU. Plus, how many people can say they did yoga on an MLB field?

Monday, August 21st, ASU Night

  • Once again, the Arizona Diamondbacks and ASU have partnered up to have a special night for ASU students and alumni. The game will be ASU-themed and if you purchase an event ticket package, you'll get an awesome ASU shirt with the Trident and the D-Backs logo on it. Not many will be given out, so make sure you get your tickets now before they sell out. ASU night is always one of the most entertaining and fun nights of the year. Plus the D-backs are playing the Texas Rangers, a team that you don't get to see often.

Thursday, August 24th, Women's Night

  • The Diamondbacks are hosting Women's Night to celebrate Women's Equality Day. If you're a woman of any age, feel free to purchase one of these event tickets and get a special and unique teal cap. It's a unique giveaway. Plus, it's awesome that the D-backs are trying to get more women into baseball and go to games. In case you weren't aware, the adoption of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution that gave women the right to vote was on August 26th, but the D-Backs are celebrating on the 24th to have a night just for women.

Friday, August 25th, Faith & Family Night & GCU Night

  • The Arizona Diamondbacks are known for holding a Faith and Family Night every year. It comes back once again, this time on Friday night against the Cincinnati Reds. There's going to be prayer, D-Backs player testimonials, and even a postgame concert featuring Zach Williams! All you need is a ticket to the game, the rest is free. Hundreds of churches will be there and it's always exciting to hear exclusive player interviews and thoughts. Plus, not often can you get a great MLB game and a concert all for the price of one ticket.
  • If you're a GCU student or alumni, be sure to purchase a special event ticket package in order to the co-branded D-Backs/GCU hat. It's a black and purple hat that is very slick and would look awesome as you represent two of your favorite places. It's a great night to go as well due to the Faith & Family portion. With this ticket package, you get a free hat, a concert, and hopefully, a D-backs win.

Saturday, August 26th, Corbin Carroll Bobblehead, U of A Night, and Greek Heritage

  • Perhaps, the biggest night of the year, besides Star Wars Night, is coming up in late August as the Arizona Diamondbacks celebrate their new franchise player Corbin Carroll and give out his first-ever player bobblehead. These are sure to go extremely fast as only 15,000 will be given out. I'd recommend the earlier the better as the bobbleheads go extremely fast, especially when it's a player's first ever and the player is as good as Corbin Carroll. All you need is a ticket and you'll get one if you're there early enough.
  • As for the two other events, those require special ticket packages. Get a Wildcat Night ticket package and receive not only the Carroll Bobblehead but also a special U of A/D-backs t-shirt with both logos on it. It's a great-looking shirt and perfect to represent on campus or running errands if you're an alumnus.
  • If you're of Greek Heritage and want to show off your Greek pride while being a Diamondbacks fan, get this Greek ticket package. It's the D-backs' first-ever Greek Heritage Celebration! There will sure to be special moments and showcases to show everyone just how many people of Greek descent make the Valley their home. Plus, you'll get the exclusive bobblehead and a D-backs hat with the Greece flag on it. Two great items for the price of one ticket. Yiamas!

Sunday, August 27th, Jewish Community Day and Soccer Night

  • The Diamondbacks are hosting a Jewish Community Night and giving away a special Hebrew/D-backs baseball cap to all who get the special event ticket package. They even have discounted youth and adult tickets with free upgrades. Plus, the Jewish Community Choir will be singing the anthem. It's sure to be a great night as they celebrate all those of the Jewish faith. Plus, it's hard to pass up one-of-a-kind hat. L'chaim!
  • Also happening on Sunday is the celebration of Soccer and all the fun soccer clubs around the valley. It's sure to be filled with tons of energy and youth as soccer fans unite with the Diamondbacks to celebrate the two biggest sports on Earth. To make it even better, be one of the first 300 fans to buy a special event ticket package and receiver a free D-backs Soccer Scarf! It'll make all the other soccer parents jealous as you stay warm with a unique Diamondbacks scarf.

It's an exciting time to be an Arizona Diamondbacks fan. The team is struggling right now but will do better soon. Plus, with all the new events and promotions happening, it's never been more encouraging to go to a game. If you think August has a lot of promotions, just wait until you see September's promotions and events in a week.
