What are the Diamondbacks' Upcoming September Giveaways?

While the Arizona Diamondbacks continue to battle it out for the post-season standings and to snare a spot in a Wild Card spot, the D-backs are hosting a whole lot of promotions and giveaway days during the last two months of the regular season. It seems that as the team has improved, so have their promotions and theme nights. Be sure to make it to at least one of these September promotional nights and get some free D-Backs gear and swag! It's about time they hold a bunch of Dbacks giveaways.

The team used to just have a few a year, but now, there are more in the next two months than there were over multiple seasons in the past. It's a great way to encourage more people to come out to the park and cheer on the D-backs. It's a vital marketing move to get old fans and new people to come out or to develop new local fans. After all, someday, the local fans will outnumber the fans of opposing teams like the Dodgers at every game. At least, I hope so. That has to happen. Digression aside, one sure way to do that is by increasing the amount of festivities, themes, and giveaways. Yes, that can cost more money, but in a business, you have to spend money to make gobs of money. The more fans at games, the more the team can spend on players. Give people a reason to spend their hard-earned cash because unless they're a baseball diehard, the Diamondbacks' play hasn't given fans a reason to go until this year.

It looks like CEO Derrick Hall and company are doing just that. So, let's get started on the August giveaway and promotional days. There are a ton of great teams coming to visit as well like the Baltimore Orioles, Houston Astros, Chicago Cubs, and San Francisco Giants. Plus, you'll get a lot of neat items to showcase your D-backs fandom. And watching a team play in an atmosphere that resembles a playoff game every time isn't bad at all either.

Friday, September 1st, vs. Baltimore Orioles: Country Night

The Diamondbacks are holding their first-ever Country Night to celebrate the Country lifestyle and music. If you purchase a limited ticket event package, you'll get a discounted ticket and a free D-backs-themed country hat. Plus, the game will be country-themed with music and other festivities

Saturday, September 2nd, vs. Baltimore Orioles: Mexican Heritage Night

The Diamondbacks are holding their annual Mexican Heritage Night where they'll give away a new-look Serpientes jersey to the first 15,000 fans at the game. The team will also feature their Serpientes jerseys and host teams from the Mexican Pacific ARCO League.
There is also going to be a post-game concert by the band Contacto Norte. There are tickets available for a meet and greet and to be on the field during the performance. It's sure to be a fun time to celebrate Mexican heritage.

Sunday, September 3rd, vs. Baltimore Orioles: Irish Heritage Celebration

The Diamondbacks are going to host the Irish Cultural Center and McClelland Library as well as make a donation to both of those fine places. They are going to be celebrating the halfway mark to St. Patrick's Day and show off the local Irish culture. Plus, you can get a D-backs-themed hat with the flag of Ireland on it as part of a special event ticket package.

September 15th-17th vs. Chicago Cubs: Hispanic Heritage Weekend

To celebrate the many wonderful Hispanic cultures that make up the valley, the D-backs are going to be dedicating a whole weekend to them. First, on Friday, the 15th, the D-backs are holding a Puerto Rican Heritage Celebration. It's also going to be the celebration of Roberto Clemente Day as they honor the past MLB great. There is a special event ticket package that will get you a D-backs hat with the Puerto Rican flag on it. Combine your culture with your favorite team all in one hat.
Then, on Saturday, the 16th, the Diamondbacks are giving out 15,000 Serpientes hats that will go QUICK. They are custom-made in black and tan with the Serpientes snake logo on the front. They will go extremely fast and sell out quickly. Make sure you get there extremely early to snag one of these. There will also be special themes and events for all of the Hispanic cultures that make up baseball and Phoenix throughout the weekend.

Tuesday, September 19th, vs. San Francisco Giants: NASCAR Night with Phoenix Raceway and German Heritage Celebration

The Diamondbacks are inviting NASCAR to the field where they are giving away 5,000 checkered flags with the D-backs, NASCAR, and Phoenix Raceway logos on it. So, you will want to get there early enough to get one. Plus, they will have the NASCAR Cup Series championship trophy that you can take pictures with. They'll also have the Bill France Cup to take photos with. Just as well, there will be an iRacing simulator that you can hop on and ride to see how it feels to be a NASCAR driver. This will be a fast and fun time.
The D-backs are also hosting a special German Heritage celebration for the first time ever. It's a great time to celebrate the German culture so close to OcktoberFest and to recognize the many Germans that live in the valley. Their annual weekend to celebrate the many fans of the Arizona Diamondbacks is in the last series of the season.
