Dodgers News: Motivated Bobby Miller 'Most Locked In' He's Been as Big Leaguer

In this story:
Bobby Miller took the mound for the final game of a 4-match bout against the Atlanta Braves looking to avoid a series sweep for the Dodgers.
He avoided it.
Miller threw 7 amazing innings and was one out away from 7 scoreless when he gave up a solo home run to Matt Olson before retiring his last batter.
Miller took the mound knowing his goal to help the team but also his personal goal to improve on his MLB debut outing against the Braves earlier this year.
Bobby Miller said today was "probably the most locked in I’ve ever been" in the big leagues

The reason?
"Getting beat the first three games [in the series]," he said. "And also, it’s my second time facing them, so it’s a big goal for me, to dominate a team for the second time.”
Miller tossed 7 amazing innings to go along with 5 strikeouts, 3 hits, and just one run. The 24-year-old rookie is pitching like a seasoned veteran and pitching with conviction.
Miller knew that the Dodgers needed to get back into the win column after suffering three straight losses to the Braves.

Miller made his MLB debut against the Braves in Atlanta back in May and he shined there pitching 5 innings of one-run baseball.
Miller was set on improving from his first outing but also set on improving from his last two starts which saw him allow 4 runs each.
On the year Miller has tossed 94.2 innings to the tune of a 3.80 ERA and striking out 84 batters to just 26 walks. Miller's ERA at 3.80 may not be too impressive but considering in June and July his combined ERA was 4.95, the over-one-run lost is very much appreciated.
The Dodgers will make the playoffs and Bobby Miller will pitch in the postseason, but if Miller keeps pitching like this he may very well be leading a Dodger team in a Game 2-3 start looking to win some baseball games in October.
