The Phillies have made it official, as today they announced the signing of Indians free agent first basemen Carlos Santana.

The deal is for three-years and $60 million but includes a team a option for a fourth year at $17.5 million. Santana spent eight seasons with the Indians and in that time hit .249 with 174 homers and 587 runs batted in.

In his final season with the Tribe he hit .259 with 23 homers and 79 RBI. Now that he's officially gone, the Indians will turn likely to the free agent market to try and find his replacement.

Last week at the MLB Winter Meetings in Orlando, Indians manager Terry Francona said that the team would "probably like to sign somebody."

For now, Santana is in Philadelphia, and the Indians need to find someone to play first.
