In this story:

The Philadelphia Phillies saw their lead for the top National League Wild Card berth trimmed just a bit on Tuesday.

The Phillies lost to Atlanta, the second game of a three-game road series that ends on Wednesday. It was a four-game leading going into the day, but thanks to wins by the Chicago Cubs and the Arizona Diamondbacks, the Phillies lost a game.

Philadelphia still has complete control over its destiny and has the potential to clinch a playoff berth this week. But more days like Tuesday and the Phillies may be fighting the Cubs, the Diamondbacks or the other teams that are chasing the Wild Card playoffs for seeding.

Those other teams still in the race include Miami, Cincinnati and San Francisco.

But right now the Cubs and the Diamondbacks would join the Phillies in the Wild Card playoffs if they started today.

Below is an update on the race, with the current standings, magic numbers to clinch a Wild Card berth and the remaining schedules for the teams that are still in the race.
