The Philadelphia Phillies have set their pitching rotation for their three-game series against the Miami Marlins, which starts on Friday at Citizens Back Park.

The Phillies will face the Marlins at 7:05 p.m. eastern on Friday, 6:05 p.m. on Saturday and 1:05 p.m. on Sunday.

The Marlins are chasing the Phillies in the National League Wild Card race.

Cristopher Sánchez (2-3, 3.48), who was pushed back to make room for Zack Wheeler in Wednesday’s series finale with the San Diego Padres, is expected to start for the Phillies on Friday.

He took a no-decision in his last start against the Angels on Aug. 30, throwing just 4.2 innings and giving up seven hits and three earned runs. He struck out five and walked none. Sánchez has just two decisions in his last seven starts, but he’s 2-0 with a 3.86 ERA and 39 strikeouts against six walks in 39.2 innings.

The Marlins’ starter for Friday was not set at MLB.com, but ESPN has the likely starter as Eury Perez (5-4, 2.86), a rookie who would be making his 17th start this season. He last started a week ago against Washington, a game in which he gave up five hits and three earned runs in 4.2 innings. He struck out three and walked five. He took a no-decision in the game.

His ERA has gone up in his last seven starts, as he is 0-3 with a 5.12 ERA. He’s struck out 41 and walked 10 in 31.2 innings.

Phillies right-hander Aaron Nola (12-9, 4.55) is expected to start Saturday’s game and will be pitching on extra rest. He took a loss against Milwaukee last Saturday, giving up eight hits and seven earned runs in 4.2 innings. He struck out three and walked five.

He had won his two previous games, going seven innings in each game and throwing shutout baseball in one of those outings. He is 3-3 with a 5.59 ERA in his last seven starts, with 46 strikeouts and 14 walks in 38.2 innings.

The Marlins are expected to start veteran right-hander Johnny Cueto (1-3, 5.54) on Saturday. Cueto missed much of this season with an injury and is making just his ninth appearance and eighth start of the season. He won his last start against Washington on Saturday, going five innings and giving up five hits and three earned runs. He walked two and struck out four. In his last 36.1 innings, he’s struck out 30 and walked 10 while allowing 19 earned runs.

The Phillies are expected to start Ranger Suárez (2-6, 3.91) in Sunday’s finale. He made his first start since an injury list stint last Sunday against Milwaukee. He took a no-decision, as he threw four innings and gave up five hits and two earned runs. He struck out five and walked two. In his last seven games he is 0-2 with a 4.12 ERA, with 35 strikeouts and 13 walks in 39.1 innings.

The Marlins have not set a starter for Sunday’s game.

The Phillies host the Atlanta Braves for a four-game series that starts on Monday with a doubleheader.
