Texas Rangers Perfect on Road, World Series Shifts to Arizona for Three Games

In this story:
ARLINGTON, Texas – The Texas Rangers leave the comforts of home knowing the road isn’t so bad.
In fact, it’s been great.
The Rangers are undefeated away from Globe Life Field this postseason, going 8-0 leading into the World Series. Texas is only 2-4 at home after Saturday night's 9-1 loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks in Game 2.
The Rangers swept two games each at the Tampa Bay Rays and Baltimore Orioles in the first two rounds before taking all four at the Houston Astros in the American League Championship Series.
So the Rangers leave for Phoenix on Sunday with the best-of-seven tied 1-1. The next three games are at Chase Field, beginning Monday night with Game 3. Texas will have to win at least once in the desert to win the franchise’s first World Series. Games 6 and 7, if necessary, are back at Globe Life Field.
Max Scherzer is making the start for Texas, his third in the postseason. The three-time Cy Young Award winner missed more than a month with a shoulder injury before returning in the ALCS.
“He’s comfortable pretty much throwing like he normally does,” Bochy said. “Maybe not quite as long as he’s been over 100 pitches, whatever, but pretty close.”
