Go ahead and count Dak Prescott among the fans of the Texas Rangers’ new Nike City Connect uniforms. The Dallas Cowboys quarterback is featured in a Rangers social media post wearing the new TX-themed jersey emblazoned with his No. 4.

The Rangers debuted their long-awaited City Connect collection Friday night in a 5-4 loss to the Oakland Athletics. Texas is one of six teams to introduce the Nike kits this season.

Prescott has long supported the Rangers, as the Cowboys and Rangers share more than just parking lots in Arlington. The two franchises have enjoyed crossover partnerships for years, with a number of Cowboys throwing out the first pitch at Texas games.

The current Cowboys signal-caller has been photographed at Rangers games often, usually sporting team gear. In a Rangers A Facebook post that went up Friday reads: “QB1 in the City Connect threads.”

The City Connect uniforms pay homage to the baseball histories of Dallas, Fort Worth and Arlington, with several unique design features. One sleeve is adorned with a “Peagle,” which is the combination of the mascot of the Fort Worth Panthers/Cats and Dallas Eagles.

The Rangers will be wearing the City Connect for every Friday home game at Globe Life Field, though the club will don the uniforms again Saturday night against Oakland. First pitch is set for 6:05 p.m.
