The Boston Red Sox certainly have been impressive so far this season.

Boston entered the 2023 season with some pretty low expectations. After a subpar 2022 season that saw the club win just 78 games, many speculated the club could be even worse this year after losing All-Stars Xander Bogaerts and J.D. Martinez in free agency.

It's certainly still early, but the Red Sox have shown plenty of grit to begin the 2023 campaign and are 19-14 after 33 games and are in third place in the American League East. Boston has the fourth-best record in the American League overall and the club mainly has done this thanks to its offense.

The Red Sox's offense has been one of, if not the best in all of baseball. As a team, Boston is leading the league in hits with 313 and doubles with 74. The Red sox currently are second in the league in batting average (.274), RBIs (186), total runs scored (195), and on-base percentage (.345). Boston also currently is third in baseball in slugging percentage at .436 and OPS at .808 and fifth in the league in home runs with 46.

One of the biggest means of production so far for Boston has been its outfield. Alex Verdugo, Jarren Duran, and Masataka Yoshida have been leading the club's offensive charge along with Rafael Devers and Justin Turner. For as successful as the Red Sox's offense has been, it could be even better in the near future.

Adam Duvall was the club's best hitter over the first two weeks of the season but currently is out due to a wrist fracture. He will return at some point along with infielder Trevor Story so the offense could take another step forward.

Boston's starting rotation struggled to open the season, but have begun to turn things around of late. If the pitching continues to improve and the offense continues to shine, the club really could surprising some people when the season comes to a close.
