The Colorado Rockies third baseman Kyle Karros wasn't feeling his best on Saturday.

Karros got pulled out during the middle of the game against the Cleveland Guardians due to concussion symptoms. Saturday was Karros' first game back from the 7-day concussion IL as he was activated before the game, per the Rockies.

The 24-year-old was hitting 0-for-2 before leaving the game on Saturday. Karros was involved in a collision with his teammate Ezequiel Tovar during a road game on Aug 11 against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Ketel Marte hit a slow grounder. Karros was getting in position to make a defensive play, but Tovar and Karros collided into each other.

Karros felt the impact as his left ear and face were struck by Tovar's right shoulder.

Colorado management and coaches took precautions with Karros and placed him on the 7-day injured lis. Karros would have needed to be cleared by team doctors before he was activated. But it is not uncommon for symptoms to linger even after being medically cleared.

Manager Warren Schaeffer noticed he wasn't 100 percent on Saturday. There was no obvious incident that led to the recurrence. Schaeffer will provide more details on Sunday about the status of Karros' health, per Blakes Banter on X (formerly Twitter)

Karros is batting .263 with a .779 OPS, 10 home runs and 44 RBIs in his first full season with the Rockies. This was his first stint on an MLB injured list.

Karros had his struggles this season, but there's no reason to panic. One of the best performances he delivered this season came against the San Francisco Giants on July 3. Karros went 3-for-4 with one triple, one walk, one stolen base and three runs. The Rockies won that game 15-3.

It didn't stop there. Two days later, in the series finale, Karros hit a clutch three-run homer on a 471-foot shot to left-center to help the Rockies come back to win the game 7-6. The home run happened in the eighth inning while the Rockies trailed 6-4. June and July were some of his best months. In June, Karros slashed .357/.444/.586.

Karros combined for 22 RBIs in the months of June and July. He's capable of being a breakout hitter when he's locked in. The Rockies may not go anywhere this season, but the way they finish the season will indicate what kind of momentum they will carry into next season.
