Yankees manager Aaron Boone provided promising injury updates on the following players.

Center fielder Harrison Bader (left oblique strain), who is expected back in mid-to-late April, took 25 dry swings on Monday. Bader told Boone that he was "letting it rip" for his last dozen swings or so, and that he feels great. Bader was also working on his reactions in the outfield during batting practice over the weekend. There is still no timetable for when he might begin playing in rehab games.

Starting pitcher Carlos Rodon (left forearm strain) is expected to have hitters stand in the batter's box during his next bullpen session, where he will throw two simulated innings this weekend. This is the last step Rodon must take before he begins a rehab assignment. He will likely return in May, if all goes well.

Starting pitcher Luis Severino (low grade right lat strain) has been going through a light throwing program. He threw on back-to-back days over the weekend, which Boone was encouraged by. The Yankees are taking it slow for Severino, who could be back in April or May.

Relief pitcher Tommy Kahnle (right biceps tendinitis) is supposed to start playing catch in the next few days. He will then start the build up process towards getting back on the mound.

Relief pitcher Lou Trivino (right elbow strain) threw off the mound a few days ago. Given the nature of his injury, the Yankees aren't rushing it with Trivino, who could possibly be back in late-April or early-May.
