The family is now involved.

Carlos Rodon's wife was not a fan of a recent health rumor surrounding her husband.

On Jomboy's "Talkin' Yanks" podcast, which is affiliated with the Yankees and YES Network, co-host and founder Jimmy O'Brien shared some news about Rodon, which he heard from "unverified sources."

These unverified sources told O'Brien to not get your hopes up about Rodon pitching this season.

“Don’t get your hopes up for Rodon pitching this season,” said O’Brien, who co-hosts the “Talkin’ Yanks” podcast, which includes weekly spots from Yankees manager Aaron Boone.

“If we were to pass along things that have been passed along to us that are unverified, unsourced whatever… Some people are just like ‘eh, I don’t think it’s going to happen.’”

After it was out there, Ashley Rodon responded by saying it was "bullsh*t" and that she is a reliable source.

Rodon has recovered from a forearm strain that initially landed him on the injured list in Spring Training. However, a chronic back issue has held up his rehab.

As a result, the Yankees gave Rodon a cortisone shot in his back on Tuesday and are hoping he can begin throwing again over the weekend.

“We want to get him right and get the Carlos Rodon we know we’re going to get,” Boone said last week. “We’re confident we’ll get there. … More than anything, he’s frustrated. He wants to be here. He wants to be on the mound.”

The Yankees signed Rodon to a six-year, $162 million deal in the offseason. The lefty was one of the best starting pitchers available after going 14-8 with a 2.88 ERA for the San Francisco Giants last season.

Rodon is still not close to rejoining the Yankees' rotation due to his back issue.
