Celebrity picks for the Super Bowl
President Barack Obama
I wish the Cardinals the best. Kurt Warner is a great story and he's closer to my age than anybody else on the field, but I am a longtime Steelers fan. Mr. Rooney, the owner, was just an extraordinary supporter during the campaign and Franco Harris was campaigning for me in Pittsburgh and coach Tomlin was a supporter. I wish the best to the Cardinals. They've been long-suffering and it's a great Cinderella story, but other than the Bears the Steelers are probably the team that's closest to my heart.
Howard Stern
I'm rooting for the Steelers.
Artie Lange
I'm rooting big time for the Steelers, especially because of the kid from Union [High in New Jersey], Darnell Stapleton. It would be the second time someone from my hometown got a Super Bowl ring. So I'm rooting for the Steelers and I think the Steelers should cover, too.
Faith Hill
I would probably have to say Arizona. My husband likes them, too. They have really shown some incredible ability the last few weeks and they want it really badly. They've been exciting to watch. I'm pulling for them.
John Legend
Given the choice between Pittsburgh and Arizona, I'll lean toward Pittsburgh, but I grew up in Ohio so I'm not really supposed to root for the Steelers because of the Browns and Bengals, who will consistently disappoint. But I'll be rooting for the Steelers. It is exciting to see what the Cardinals are doing. I didn't expect it personally, and I don't think many people did. Their offense is really exciting to watch with Warner and Fitzgerald, but I think it will come down to who's defense is better, and I think the Steelers have the best defense.
Crystle Stewart
Pittsburgh Steelers 27, Arizona Cardinals 21. This year's big game is going to be an especially tough one to call. Arizona's offense has been flying high in the playoffs and wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald has been playing out of this world. He can catch a pass from me any day! But I have to go with Pittsburgh on this one. The Steeler defense has been kicking butt, and more important, you have got to love the old-school black-and-gold uniforms. After all, gold is my favorite color. So I would go with the Steelers in a close one on, and you won't be disappointed.
Patrick Dempsey
I am picking Pittsburgh to win, 28-24. Warner will start quickly and the Cards will lead early, but the tough Pittsburg defense will take over the game. Warner's last drive at the end of the game will fall just short as time expires.
Julie Henderson
I like Pittsburgh, and I think we'll see Big Ben and the Steelers have a breakout day.
Tito Ortiz
Steelers. They have a tough defense and that Big Ben has done it before.
Jessica White
I'm going to go with the Steelers. To be honest, I'm not crazy about either team, but I like the Steelers' coach, Mike Tomlin. I don't know if that's a good enough reason, but there you go.
Judah Friedlander
I'm picking whatever team signs me. I'll be the first player to start as wide receiver, linebacker and perform at the halftime show. So far, the Steelers are offering me more money. So, probably the Steelers.
Condoleezza Rice
I think that Pittsburgh defense is pretty tough, but I'm pulling for Arizona.
Keith Olbermann
The Steelers, fairly profoundly. Arizona has thus far beaten up an Atlanta team that was only just jelling as the regular season closed, and staved off a Philly team that was as dead as Jacob Marley's ghost the day McNabb was benched. Pittsburgh has been the real deal all year. Then again, I said the Falcons would crush them. And then I said the Eagles would crush them. Can I just re-submit my Giants pick from last year?
Wolf Blitzer
No need to gather in The Situation Room for this pick. Pittsburgh 42-10. The Steelers are the better team in this race for Super Bowl champion.
Misty May-Treanor
Pittsburgh Steelers, 28-17. I Gotta go with the Steelers since I was on Pros vs Joes with Kevin Greene, but also because the AVP's Jenny Jordan-Johnson's husband works with them.
Kerri Walsh
Pittsburgh Steelers, 27-23. I love both quarterbacks and think they'll both play well. I simply think the Steelers defense will step up and keep the Cardinals scoring chances down.
Nick Swardson
Cardinals because Kurt Warner has drafted God to play on his team.
Terry Crews
I'm going with the Cardinals. It's unbelievable what Kurt Warner has done this season.
Dr. Joyce Brothers
If you believe the miracles, the Arizona Cardinals will find a way to win.
Clyde Drexler
I'm taking the Steelers. I'm a little biased. Ben Roethlisberger and Hines Ward are just too tough of players. The Cardinals could surprise everyone. You can never count Kurt Warner out.
Daniel Baldwin
"Give me six lines written by the most honorable of men, and I will find an excuse in them to hang him." That was a quote from Cardinal Richelleu. With that said, get your noose ready to lynch the Steelers. Take the Cardinals and the seven points.
Tommy Davidson
Pittsburgh Steelers. How can anyone break the determination of Ben Roethlisberger?
Mike Alstott
I'm predicting a low-scoring game, and that the Steelers will win. I like and respect both teams, and am friends with Kurt Warner. That being said, I'm also friends with Mike Tomlin and I think the Steelers defense is going to be too tough for Arizona to overcome.
Dan Haren
I'm picking the Cardinals over the Steelers 27-23. I think the Cardinals will force the Steelers to play from behind and if that's the case, the Steelers will get away from the run and Kurt Warner and Larry Fitzgerald will be too much for them.
Marcellus Wiley
Steelers win big. The only better defense you can find than the Steelers is the All-Madden one in a video game. Sorry Cards, but its just not in the cards to win this one.
Melyssa Ford
I'm picking Arizona 20, Pittsburgh 13 for a few reasons: Ken Whisenhunt, Ken Whisenhunt, Ken Whisenhunt. He was with Steelers last year or year before as offensive coordinator so he has a clear idea as to how they operate as a team. If anyone remembers when Jon Gruden left the Raiders and Tampa Bay played Raiders next year in Super bowl? I think there is room to believe there will be a similar outcome. Also, Hines Ward is hurt and not playing at full capacity, I think he had the same injury last year and could barely walk and, truthfully, Arizona's offensive weapon is their strong and, recently and seemingly unbeatable combination of running backs and receivers: Larry, Fitzgerald, Anquan Boldin, Hightower, Edgerrin James, Steve Bresden. Add the combo of Antonio Smith and Darnell Dockett and Arizona's defense is definitely a problem. Even though the Steelers have No. 1 defense in league, I don't think its gonna be enough but I don't think it will be a blowout, either. All in all, the Cards are the underdog going up against the mighty Steelers, 2005 Super bowl Champs. The Giants were last years underdog against the mighty Pats. We all see what a strong factor resiliency plays in game winning. Shout out to Kurt Warner. Amazing comeback.
Bobby Labonte
I'm picking the Steelers, but pulling for the Cardinals because they're the underdog!
Jim Florentine
Steelers 24 Cardinals 21. I think the Cards will jump out to a big lead until the Steelers defense makes adjustments. Pittsburgh will slowly get back in the game and take its first lead late in the fourth quarter. Arizona will get one last chance to tie the game, but Kurt Warner will turn the ball over and the Steelers will win their sixth Super Bowl. I also predicted that George Bush would be a great president, so what the hell do I know.
Judy Tenuta
Hot throbbing studcicle quarterback and comeback king Kurt Warner along with fiesty receiver Larry Fitzgerald will blast through the Steelers' killer defense led by beefy burrito Troy Polamalu and big Ben Roethlisberger, powering the Cardinals to their first Super Bowl victory in 60 years!
Christopher Kennedy Lawford
It's the year of the underdog! Arizona by three.
Kato Kaelin
I'm going with the Cardinals for two reasons. First, Tampa is a warm weather city and the Cards will be used to it and won't cramp up in the fourth quarter. Second, Kurt Warner is married and monogamous. That's a rarity in the NFL and in life. The spirits will take his side.
Abby Brammell
Steelers 33, Cardinals 28. Having gone to college in Pittsburgh, at Carnegie Mellon University School of Drama, I spent a lot of time cheering for and betting on the Steelers. It's going to be a great game, but in the end, Pittsburgh will deliver.
Joe Flacco
I saw how Warren Sapp picked the Steelers because he wanted to the Cardinals to win so I'm going to the same thing and pick the Steelers but Cardinals I'm rooting for you.
Chris Johnson
I got to go with the Steelers, I'm an AFC guy.
Matt Ryan
I think Pittsburgh is going to win. I think they're playing really well right now and they're offense is making plays when they need too.
Matt Forte
I have to pick the Steelers because of my fellow Tulane alum Mewelde Moore.
Steve Slaton
My first NFL game was against the Steelers and that was definitely one that I will remember. They got a bunch of playmakers on that time. I have to pick the Steelers.
Myron Rolle
Despite the close relationship I have with Cardinals DB Antrel Rolle, my cousin, who I hope intercepts two passes on Sunday, I believe that the Steelers will be victorious in the Super Bowl. The decisive factor will be the remarkable defensive pressure the Steelers will apply to the Cardinals offense. I predict Steelers 28, Cardinals 10.
Deron Williams
Steelers all the way, baby. They'll put up a 1,000 on the Cardinals. We're (Steelers) the best team with the best defense.
Kyle Korver
I think the Cardinals are going to win. My reasoning is the Cardinals defense has been up and down but they've played much better recently in the playoffs and I don't have a whole lot of confidence in the Steelers offense. I just think with Hines Ward being out...he's going to play, he's going throw up a monster block out there but he's not going to be able to catch a ball. He's not going to be able to get open. Cardinals win by 10, I'm going to say 23-13.
