Pop Culture Hot List
Andrew Bynum
Fear not, Lakers fans, it looks like Bynum will be back in time for the playoffs. He's not only playing pick-up basketball games but also playing pick-up Playmate games.
Michael Phelps and Muhammad Ali
Ali may be known as "The Greatest," but he told Phelps that the swimmer deserved the nickname after his performance at the Olympics. The 14-time Olympic gold medalist was given the Sports Achievement Award during Ali's Celebrity Fight Night XV last week. During the event, Ali's wife told Phelps that the former champ was glued to the TV during the Olympics just to watch him win.
Floyd Mayweather Jr.
A year after making his pro wrestling debut at WrestleMania, Floyd Mayweather Jr. is ready to return to boxing -- two years after his last fight, a TKO of Ricky Hatton. His comeback bout could be a megafight against Manny Pacquiao, which is too bad; I was looking forward to him returning to WrestleMania to fight "Rowdy" Roddy Piper.
Billy Gillispie
Gillispie may have gotten fired at Kentucky, but at least he got a sense of what it's like to be Paris Hilton stalked by the paparazzi on his way out. He was basically forced to run away from cameramen as they plowed through one secured door after another to chase him, with one reporter even telling Gillispie, "I can run with you all day." How's that for getting run out of town?
Pete Carroll
With spring practice underway, how worried is Pete Carroll about next season? He's on a mission to get Will Ferrell on Twitter, recording a message on his Web site and going around campus getting students to plead with the actor to join the social network. Quarterback controversy? What quarterback controversy?
Guitar Hero
If you've ever wanted to see Bob Knight, Rick Pitino, Roy Williams and Coach K in nothing but pink shirts, boxers and socks doing an impersonation of Tom Cruise from Risky Business (don't lie, you know you do), Guitar Hero's newest spot will make your dream come true. Thankfully, Metallica comes in during the ad to save the day.
Alyssa Milano
In her new book, Safe at Home, Milano reportedly talks about her relationships with pitchers Carl Pavano, Barry Zito and Brad Penny. Apparently, when Penny first seduced her, he insisted she wear his jersey to bed.
Gisele Bundchen
It looks like the Gisele and Tom Brady partnership may be a bit like the Brangelina relationship, filled with paparazzi pictures, constant tabloid headlines and adopted children. "I will have a colorful family, like a rainbow," said Gisele, who said she would like to start by adopting a child from Brazil.
Rick Fox and Eliza Dushku
He's been married to an actress (Vanessa Williams), she's dated an athlete (Brad Penny), so should we really be surprised that Fox was spotted with Dushku last week? I guess not, although pictures of the 28-year-old actress on the 39-year-old former basketball player's lap seemed a bit odd.
Serena Williams
Williams, known for her fashion on the court, launched her Signature Statement accessories collection of handbags and casual jewelry and a flashy apparel line called Aneres. That's her name spelled backward.
