These daily managerial press conferences during the postseason are usually a snoozefest, but Phillies skipper Charlie Manuel spiced things up in a big way today when he started quoting The Nature Boy, Ric Flair. Someone needs to make Manuel promise that he'll let out a big "Wooooooo!" on camera if the Phillies beat the Giants in the NLCS.

A Fox affiliate recently reported that an angry Colts fan purposely flooded a Florida hotel because he was angry the Jaguars beat the Colts in Week 4. Obviously, if that's true, it's ridiculous behavior. However, while the "newscast" reported on the incident as if it was a worldwide tragedy, there's one problem: At the 1:20 mark of the video, the reporter states, "A disgruntled Colts fan may be the one to blame." Way to report the facts.
Someone In This Story Is Pathetic
Nebraska dismantled Kansas State last week, 48-13. Before the game, a pair of Huskers fans pretended to be Wildcats fans and interviewed Kansas State fans, which led to this video. Meanwhile, at the same time, a Kansas State fan was interviewing Nebraska fans in hopes of exposing their lack of intelligence.

Scott Fanton, of Wellsville, N.Y., says, "I know you are a huge Yankees fan, but I just read that the Yankees-Rangers ALCS is the greatest payroll differential for opposing teams in the history of baseball. True? I'm a loyal reader and I know you'll be honest." It is true. There is a $152 million difference between the teams.
Evil Empire Is Very Evil
1. A family in Nova Scotia, Canada is leading the charge to set a Guinness World Record this weekend for the longest soccer game ever played in hopes of raising money for breast cancer awareness.
2. A man named "Mark" has set up a Web site titled "The Guy At Home In His Underwear" in hopes of raising money for testicular cancer. Mark will sit in his house, wearing nothing but underwear, for 25 straight days. And you can watch it all live.
3. Yuri Pride, of Boston, says, "I'd be very appreciative if you'd post this link of my good buddy, Dave Cummings, shot by USA Today. He's attempting to shoot 1 million free throws over the course of 2 years (that's 1,370 per day ... every day) to benefit the Intrepid Fallen Heroes fund, an organization that provides financial support for the dependents of United States military personnel lost in performance of their duty. He's a great guy, and it's a great cause. Give the man a shout-out." And here is Dave's site, HoopsForHeroes.com.
Here are Washington Capitals coach Bruce Boudreau and Nationals third baseman Ryan Zimmerman dancing (not well) in tracksuits for a new commercial. (Thanks to Pat, of Baltimore, for the video.)

This anchor was busted for pretending to drink beer on the air. The video looks 100 percent fake, but apparently, it's real, and he's been fired.
