If you missed A Football Life: Bill Belichick last night on the NFL Network, it re-airs today at 4 p.m. ET and Saturday at 9 p.m. ET. DVR/TiVo/record the hell out of it. It is tremendous. The behind-the-scenes football stuff -- coaches' meetings, game planning with Tom Brady, dealing with a game in a blizzard -- is as good as you'll ever see on one of these inside-look shows. If you don't get the NFL Network, you can find more than 30 minutes worth of clips here. If you don't have time to watch them all, I recommend just watching this one, in which Belichick explains the importance of celebrating good plays and having some energy on the field. And here's a bonus snippet of Belichick unloading a series of f-bombs and the ultimate insult ("Can you look at the scoreboard?") on then Ravens receiver Derrick Mason, who tried to trash talk with the Pats head coach.

Detroit lost to Oakland last night, 6-1. (Thanks mainly to another outstanding start by one-time Hot Clicks Podcast guest, A's pitcher Brandon McCarthy, who is also a must follow on Twitter.) I'm going to assume Tigers' players were happier with this loss than any other this season. Yes, the team's 12-game winning streak was snapped, but at least manager Jim Leyland and hitting coach Lloyd McClendonwill now change their underwear.

Congratulations Are In Order For Tigers Players

In addition to losing at home to LSU last night, Mississippi State also had one of its fans get embarrassed on national TV.

If you follow a lot of athletes on Twitter, you know that during the Women's World Cup, many of them professed their love for Hope Solo and Alex Morgan. One athlete, Sporting KC forward C.J. Sapong, recently got to meet Solo. Unfortunately for him, he decided to recite a poem to her. It wasn't pretty. As for Morgan, she threw out the first pitch at last night's Royals game.
