Umpire Greg Gibson took this shot to the face from Torii Hunter last night. Gibson, who ended up needing some stitches, actually caught a break, because Hunter was wearing rubber cleats instead of the metal ones he had worn the previous two games.

Felix Hernandez's perfect game wasn't just celebrated at Safeco Field yesterday. Here is video of the Jackson (Tenn.) Generals, the Mariners' Class AA team, watching the final out at their stadium and going nuts afterward. Hernandez's older brother, Moises, plays for Jackson. He's No. 45 in the video.
