In what we've been told is a scene from the forthcoming thriller--a bold variation on the hit flick that involved snakes in a similar scenario--Alaska Airlines Capt. David Boshell and intrepid First Officer Melissa Van Dyke bravely extracted a 48-pound Copper River King Salmon that had been running amok in the aisle during their flight from Cordova, Alaska, to Seattle's Seatac Airport. The salmon, highly prized for its oil content (up to 12 quarts) and bold flavor, is nevertheless quite capable of terrorizing passengers as well as movie-goers who are easily entertained.

You never know what odd life forms will wash up during this age of widespread pollution and runaway radioactive waste. On Miami Beach, Rachel Bennett of Brooklyn, NY (left) and Tiffany Threadgould of Philadelphia were clearly shocked to find a shopping bag creature that is now being hailed by uninformed scientists as one of the most dramatic examples of marine evolution ever discovered. Turns out that it was just good ol' Steve Vincenti from the next slide.
