Michigan and Michigan State will take their hockey rivalry to Chicago next winter with a game at Soldier Field on Feb. 7.

The game, one of the teams' four meetings next season, will be part of the Hockey City Classic.

It will be the fourth outdoor meeting between the schools. The Wolverines and Spartans met at Spartan Stadium in 2001, at Michigan Stadium in 2010 and at Comerica Park in Detroit last season. Michigan has also played outdoor games at Wisconsin and against Ohio State in Cleveland.

Soldier Field hosted the Chicago Blackhawks and Pittsburgh Penguins in March as part of the NHL's Stadium Series. The venue also hosted the Hockey City Classic in 2013.

The 2015 event will be a doubleheader, with Western Michigan playing Miami (OH) as well.
