Man shot outside WWE training complex in Orlando

A man was shot outside the WWE Performance Center, the company’s training complex in Orlando, police said Tuesday.
According to WESH, Orlando police responded to a trespassing call at the training center Monday afternoon. Orange County sheriff Jerry Demings said at press conference that a 29-year-old man who was obsessed with a female WWE wrestler was at the facility with a knife.
The man charged at a sheriff’s deputy responding to the trespass call, at which point the deputy fired one shot, Demings said. At the time of the press conference, the man was in surgery at a local hospital.
WWE released a statement on the shooting, saying the man was “a deranged individual.”
