NBA Finals: Game 2 action
After a 27-point performance in the Finals opener, Tony Parker came back in Game 2 with 30 points in the Spurs' 103-92 victory against the Cavaliers. Parker made a combined 25-of-43 shots (58.1 percent) in leading San Antonio to a 2-0 series lead.
Limited by foul trouble in the first half, LeBron James didn't get going until after the Spurs had built a huge lead. James finished with 25 points, seven rebounds, six assists and six turnovers.
Tim Duncan was part of a stout Spurs defense that held the Cavs to 33 first-half points on 26.8 percent shooting from the field. San Antonio led by 25 at the half and by as many as 29 in the third quarter before Cleveland made a late run.
LeBron James helped the Cavs cut a 27-point fourth-quarter deficit to eight with 4:53 left, perhaps providing reason for optimism as they head home for Game 3.
Tony Parker continued to burn the Cavs with his relentless drives into the paint.
LeBron James and the Cavs face a daunting task as the series shifts to Cleveland: Since the NBA Finals went to the present 2-3-2 format in 1984, only one team has come back from an 0-2 deficit to win the series (Miami last season against Dallas).
