Mavs' Thomas sidelined by knee surgery

DALLAS - Dallas Mavericks forward Tim Thomas is out indefinitely after undergoing arthroscopic right knee surgery.

The procedure was done Tuesday by the team's orthopedic surgeon. Thomas was hurt while working out at his home in California.

Thomas, a 12-year veteran, signed with Dallas during the summer. He spent time with the Los Angeles Clippers, New York Knicks and Chicago Bulls last season.
