Video: Raptors' Terrence Ross cruises under hoop for tip dunk

*****

Raptors guard Terrence Ross has established himself as the Internet's underground cult hero of the 2012 Draft class.

Damian Lillard gets the headlines. Now that Anthony Davis is once again healthy and productive, he's back to receiving appreciative breakdownsMichael Kidd-Gilchrist is a favorite of the purists. Bradley Beal made some noise with his game-winner to beat the Thunder recently. But Ross? Well, Ross' high-flying acts are starting to make the die-hards who watch Raptors games scream profanities on a fairly regular basis.

Ross did it again on Tuesday night against the Nets. Down 107-95 with 1:43 remaining in the fourth, he snuck baseline to tip in a missed jumper by John Lucas III. Taking off from the right side of the hoop, Ross cruised underneath the basket, in midair, before emerging on the left side to throw down the put-back dunk with one hand. Beautiful.

The 2012-13 season has been one long Slam Dunk competition audition for Ross. Two of his dunks against the Magicback in December were particularly noteworthy.

Ross, 21, is averaging 6.8 points and 2.0 rebounds in 17.0 minutes per game this season. He finished with four points, nine rebounds and one assists in 23 minutes for the Raptors on Tuesday.

Kyle Lowry led Toronto with 21 points. Brook Lopez finished with 22 points and nine rebounds to lead Brooklyn to the 113-106 home victory.
