NBA suspends Pacers' Roy Hibbert and Warriors' David Lee for shoving match

The NBA has suspended Pacers center Roy Hibbert and Warriors forward David Lee for "instigating the altercation" that led to a shoving match that carried into the stands during the fourth quarter of Indiana's 108-97 victory at Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Tuesday.
Lee was suspended one game without pay after his initial shove of Hibbert led to the scrum between the two teams. He will serve his suspension on Wednesday night when the Warriors face the Knicks at Madison Square Garden. Lee is on the books for $12.7 million this season and a one-game suspension will cost him roughly $115,800.
Hibbert was suspended one game without pay after he shoved Lee in retaliation and then shoved Warriors guard Stephen Curry multiple times. He was the only player ejected on Tuesday night, as he was assessed a pair of technical fouls for his interactions with Lee and Curry. Hibbert will serve his suspension on Thursday night when the Pacers host the Clippers. He is on the books for $13.7 million this season and a one-game suspension will cost him roughly $124,200.
Curry, Warriors guard Klay Thompson and Pacers forward David West all received technical fouls during the game. Curry, Thompson and Pacers guard Lance Stephenson each received $35,000 fines for "escalating the altercation" but did not receive any suspensions.
The exchange occurred at the 6:09 mark of the fourth quarter with the Pacers leading 95-85. The brouhaha began when Hibbert and Lee exchanged shoves while fighting for rebounding position. Hibbert then shoved Warriors guard Stephen Curry to the ground, prompting Curry to retaliate by running at Hibbert. That led to further shoving that carried a group of five or six players into the baseline stands.
