The Wizards announced Wednesday that rookie guard Bradley Beal will miss the remainder of the season with a "stress injury" in his right fibula. He is expected to be sidelined for six weeks.

Beal, 19, was the No. 3 pick in the 2012 draft. He averaged 13.9 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 31.2 minutes in 56 games. He also missed time with ankle, wrist and back injuries.

The Wizards (28-46) have eight games left in their season. They will soon be mathematically eliminated from the playoffs.

The Point Forward recently assigned Beal a B+ for his season, acknowledging a strong second half after a slow start, and dug into his improved shooting since January.
