Tony Parker's status for Game 4 of NBA Finals uncertain after hamstring injury

Tony Parker was forced to head to the locker room in the third quarter of Game 3 of the NBA Finals with a hamstring injury. Parker was able to return to the bench and re-enter the game in the fourth, but logged only one minute before returning to the bench as the Spurs pulled away from the Heat 113-77 to grab a 2-1 series lead.  The Spurs guard, whose improbable jumper sealed Game 1 for the Spurs, finished with six points and eight assists on 2-of-5 shooting in 27 minutes.

His status for Game 4 is unknown. "I felt something on my hamstring," Parker told reporters after the game. "Hopefully it’s nothing big and it’s just a cramping." Yahoo! Sports' Marc Spears reports that Parker will have an MRI on the hamstring at 10 am CT Wednesday.

Parker dealt with a bruised calf earlier in the postseason, receiving a precautionary MRI on it in advance of the Western Conference finals. The troublesome calf did not force him to miss any time.

The 2007 NBA Finals MVP, Parker was averaging 22.3 points, 7 assists and 1.2 steals in the postseason entering Game 3.
