Kobe Bryant has made a career out of defying what is expected. He disregards defensive fundamentals to gamble on a whim. He courts double teams in order to shoot over the top of them. He has worn on his superstar teammates. He has inflated expectations for his return from injury by publicly aiming to come back in record time. And, of late, he has cultivated a social media image after previously scoffing at such platforms.

He also, apparently, has taken his rehabilitation from a torn Achilles tendon to unanticipated new heights. On his new Vine account, Bryant posted a clip showing off his jump from a diving platform (click the image above to view) -- a strange risk for a player in recovery to take.
