Sustained brilliance sure can get a bit tedious, so LeBron James can be forgiven for breaking up the boredom brought on by another milestone night by dancing a little jig during as Miami put the finishing touches on a 104-95 road win over Toronto on Tuesday. Raptors fans, predictably, met the antics with loud boos.

The Heat's MVP forward finished with 35 points (on 13-of-20 shooting), eight rebounds and eight assists, a performance that marked the 500th consecutive game in which he's scored in double figures. The Associated Press notes that James, whose streak dates back to Jan. 5, 2007, is one of just five players to hit for 10+ points in 500 or more straight games.

James joins Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (with streaks of 787 and 508 games), Michael Jordan (866), Karl Malone (575) and Moses Malone (526) as the only players to accomplish the feat.

After putting the game on ice with an and-one lay-up to give the Heat a 99-90 lead with 1:44 remaining, James looked to milk the clock on Miami's next possession. With Rudy Gay lagging off of him, James began kicking his feet in an exaggerated motion near halfcourt. As the shot clock hit 12 seconds, James did a little two-step Irish-style dance continuing to move his feet forward and backwards until the clock hit seven. At that point, Gay tightened up on defense and James drove by him fairly easily, finding Ray Allen wide open in the right corner for a three-pointer to put Miami up 12 points. Yawn.

It's been years -- and feels like decades -- since James and then-teammate Danny Green cut a ridiculous rug as the Cavaliers defeated the Bulls.

His display in Toronto wasn't nearly that bad, but it's understandable why Raptors fans would conclude that it was still unnecessary. "Just save it for the Harlem Shake videos," you can the Air Canada Centre crowd thinking.
