Thunder's Kevin Durant scores 48 points, hits step-back jumper to beat Timberwolves

Kevin Durant hit a step-back jumper with four seconds remaining to lift the Thunder to a 115-111 road victory over the Timberwolves on Saturday.

Kevin Love was fouled while shooting a three-pointer on the other end, but he missed all three free throws. Durant then hit two final free throws to ice the four-point victory.

Durant finished with a season-high 48 points (on 16-for-32 shooting), seven rebounds and seven assists. The three-time scoring champion poured in 32 points in the second half.

The Oklahomanreported Durant's post-game reaction.

“I feel like my switch is always on,” Durant said. “I may not be making shots, but my intensity level and my aggressiveness is always on. Tonight, it happened to go in for me a little bit. I just stuck with it. I was hanging my head a little bit in the first half and my teammates got on me about it. So I just wanted to keep my head high no matter what and stay aggressive and I was able to hit a few.”

The victory snapped a two-game losing streak for the Thunder, who improved to 26-7 with the win. Derek Fisher added 13 points (on 3-for-7 shooting) and four assists for Oklahoma City.

Nikola Pekovic led the Timberwolves with a team-high 31 points (on 13-for-22 shooting) and 11 rebounds. Love added 30 points (on 11-for-21 shooting) and 14 rebounds in a losing effort.

Minnesota fell to 16-17 with the loss.
