Video: Warriors' Klay Thompson hits last-second, game-winning jumper to beat Pacers
Klay Thompson hit a game-winning turnaround jumper with 0.6 seconds left to lift Golden State to a 98-96 road victory over Indiana on Tuesday.
The last-second heroics unfolded after Thompson backed down Pacers guard George Hill on the right wing, turning toward the baseline to swish home a mid-range jumper.
"That's why you play -- to fight, to score to win," Thompson said, according to the Bay Area News Group. "It was a lot of fun, especially winning on the road, silencing a crowd. It proves to people I can make that shot. I wanted that shot."
Thompson finished with a team-high 25 points (on 10-for-20 shooting), five rebounds and two assists. The 2011 lottery pick scored 16 of his 25 points in the fourth quarter. Stephen Curry added 19 points (on 7-for-18 shooting), eight rebounds and six assists in the win.
David West led the Pacers with a game-high 27 points (on 10-for-17 shooting), seven rebounds and two assists. Paul George added 26 points (on 8-for-23 shooting), 12 rebounds and four assists in a losing effort.
Golden State improved to 37-24 with the win. Indiana dropped to 46-14 with the loss.
