Video: Bobcats' Michael Kidd-Gilchrist throws down poster dunk on Blazers' Meyers Leonard

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist threw down a vicious poster dunk over Meyers Leonard during the Bobcats' 124-94 blowout victory over the Blazers on Saturday.

With a little more than six minutes remaining in the final period and Charlotte enjoying a comfortable 107-80 lead, Luke Ridnour pushed the ball up the court in hopes of taking advantage of a 5-on-4 situation. As he hit the free-throw line, Ridnour dumped a lefty behind-the-back pass to Kidd-Gilchrist, who began his cut from the three-point line at the right angle.

Taking one power dribble, Kidd-Gilchrist attacked the paint with force, launching off of two feet to punch a right-handed hammer dunk. Leonard attempted to contest the play from the weakside, but seemed to think twice in mid-air, spinning and ducking as Kidd-Gilchrist finished the thunderous finish.

Kidd-Gilchrist, the No. 2 pick in the 2012 draft, finished with nine points (on 4-for-6 shooting) and seven rebounds. Al Jefferson led the Bobcats with a game-high 28 points (on 13-for-22 shooting), seven rebounds and six assists in the win.

Damian Lillard led the Blazers with 20 points (on 7-for-19 shooting), four assists and two rebounds. Dorell Wright added 17 points (on 6-for-12 shooting) and six rebounds in a losing effort.

Charlotte improved to 34-36 with the victory. Portland dropped to 45-25 with the loss.
