Video: Heat's Dwyane Wade, Pacers' Lance Stephenson get technicals for shoving

Heat guard Dwyane Wade and Pacers guard Lance Stephenson drew double technical fouls for their involvement in a minor shoving match during Indiana's 84-83 home victory on Wednesday.

No game between the East's top two teams would be complete without some extracurricular activities, and tensions started to mount in this one with a little under seven minutes remaining in the third quarter. Stephenson and Mario Chalmers both went after a loose ball during an Indiana possession, and Stephenson appeared to grab Chalmers' hand as the ball went out of bounds.

Wade witnessed the sequence from a few feet away and immediately disputed Stephenson's action, bumping the Pacers guard and giving him a light shove. Stephenson cleared Wade's arms off of his body and exchanged a few words before the officials could intervene to separate the two players, who were both assessed a technical foul.

That relatively minor sequence would prove important in the fourth quarter, as Stephenson was ejected after he received a second technical foul following another exchange with Wade. Stephenson was booted at the 5:01 mark with Indiana leading 76-72, and Miami immediately went on an 8-0 run to take the lead following his departure. The Pacers were able to regroup, though, and they pulled out a one-point home victory.
